David Moreira started a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon in 2009. During this period, he developed interest in research after receiving a research integration grant (BII) from the FCT, in ​​molecular microbiology. After obtaining his master's degree in 2014, he received a PhD grant from the FCT and is currently developing his PhD project in the Clinical Neuroscience Group at the ORI, focusing on Huntington's disease (HD), on the identification of new pathogenic mechanisms of the disease and on the development of gene therapy strategies for DH treatment.
