Pedro Marcelino obtained his degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Minho, Portugal and his PhD in Human Biology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He pursued postdoctoral studies in molecular and cellular mechanisms of aging (Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Coimbra). He was subsequently hired as an Assistant Investigator in the Science Program 2007. More recently, he integrated the Omibee Research Center as an Auxiliary Researcher, where he studies the regulation of insulin sensitivity.
